There’s artists who make paintings, artists who make sculptures, and artists that take photographs. Deborah Rapoport is an artist who makes hats. On her website, Rapoport says that “since age 3, ‘Dressing Up’ creatively has been my artistic expression,” and “to me, anything is a hat.”

As you can see below, her creations are quite unlike any hats I’ve ever seen (other than the most-conservative one in the top left corner). And it’s not just the fashion world that takes notice; her work is in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
